Amid an ongoing internal probe into the George Washington Bridge lane closures, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey named a new inspector general Wednesday, following the unexpected death of the agency’s longtime IG, Robert Van Etten, in June.
His successor, Michael Nestor, is a 17-year veteran of the IG’s office who had been acting inspector general since Van Etten’s death.
