After nearly two years of wrangling, the Inspector General hired to oversee the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said Tuesday he has reached an agreement with Sheriff Jim McDonnell on sharing confidential information.

The agreement gives Huntsman the ability to “monitor in-progress investigations involving potential bias, deputy force or misconduct by LASD personnel, including, but not limited to complaint inquiries, deputy-involved shootings, claims review and administrative investigations.”
