Gov. Rick Perry has reappointed Douglas Wilson of Pflugerville as inspector general of the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) for a term to expire Feb. 1, 2014. The inspector general works to prevent, detect and investigate fraud, abuse and waste in state health and human services programs.
Wilson is the current HHSC inspector general, a position he has held since his appointment in March 2011. He previously served as HHSC’s deputy inspector general for operations, and as past deputy director of the Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit.
